Inntel Hotels and VolkerWessels Vastgoed signed a realisation agreement for a new hotel at the Noordelijk Havenhoofd in Scheveningen. The 4* hotel with sea view will consist of over 200 rooms and wellness facilities on the top floor.
The construction of Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach is part of the redevelopment of the Noordelijk Havenhoofd in Scheveningen. In the coming years this area will be transformed to a modern and sustainable corporate area. There will be a leisure area on the beach side Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach is an important part of this area.
The hotel is designed by KCAP Architects&Planners from Rotterdam. For the hotel exterior the designers drew their inspiration from sailing boats. The trapezoidal base shape is cut and lifted in different directions, creating a dynamic volume. This effect is enhanced by triangles which change the direction of the facade.
Karin Geurts, Managing Director Inntel Hotels: “The hotel will be located on an amazing spot in Scheveningen right by the beach and harbour with various activities and facilities surrounding us. I’m very proud to be adding this hotel to our hotel group and I’m positive it will be a success.”
Managing Director Marcel Schipper of VolkerWessels Vastgoed: “The design in combination with the strong concept and prominent location which influences the architecture will make the future Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach the eye catcher of the new Noordelijk Havenhoofd.”
After the signing of the agreement between VolkerWessels Vastgoed, the city of The Hague and the Viscluster in November 2013 this is an important step in the development of the Noordelijk Havengebied area.
The construction is done by Boele & van Eesteren a subsidary of VolkerWessels. The technical installations will be installed by Homij Technische Installations another subsidiary of VolkerWessels.
