Lakenvelder is an old Dutch native cow breed. The Lakenvelder has a striking appearance due to the white band over its back and belly. It was originally a draught animal and spends most of the year out in the meadow. Angus or Wagyu is a good alternative if you can’t get Lakenvelder at your local butcher.
Necessities
- Grill of grill pan
- Skillet
- Cutting board
- Paper towel
The burger tastes best when cooked on a grill or in a grill pan. You can also use a skillet if you don’t own a grill or grill pan. If you use a skillet just remember you will need some butter or oil.
Method
Preparation is the key to success. In the kitchen, we call it mise-en-place. Make sure that your kitchen counter is clean. Place all ingredients and necessities on your counter and let’s start.
Wash and cut the vegetables and place them to the side. Fry the bacon in the skillet and place it on a paper towel. Make sure the grill is hot and season the burger with salt and pepper. Grill the burger 3 minutes on one side and 5 minutes on the other for a medium-rare burger. While the burger’s grilling fry the egg in the skillet. Cut the hamburger bun in half and place it on the grill for 15 seconds.
Time to assemble that delicious burger. Start with spreading the Piccalilly mayonnaise on the bread and then place the lettuce, tomato and pickle on top. Place your burger patty on top of that and then top it off with the red onion chutney, cheese, bacon and the fried egg followed by the top of the bun.
Bon appetite! In our restaurants, we serve the Inntel’s Original Beef Burger with chunky fries and mayonnaise.
